9/30/10 5:00pm PT Group Power Minor Update
- New feature: Create list of favorite groups
- Most sections with group names or symbols have links to add/remove to favorites list (Add , Remove).
If the links are not initially visible, try putting the cursor over the group's name or symbol.
- A favorite group is marked with a star (
 ) next to the name or symbol.
- Filter a list by favorite groups wherever there is a "Limit by" select option.
9/23/10 5:00pm PT Group Power Industry Structure Update
- Industry structure reorganized, here are the highlights:
- New sector for broad market ETFs
- Inverse, leveraged short and leveraged long ETFs moved to holding bins per sector (like non-correlated groups, they are not included in group and sector analysis)
- Removal of several groups with low correlation or stock memberships
- Detailed summary in Structure section: "Structure Update Summary"
3/2/10 5:00pm PT Group Power Minor Update
- Group and Sector sections:
- NEW Rank Positon. Number (from -3 to +3) to identify the relative position of the 3 (short,intermediate, and long-term) momentum ranks. Summary table and History section includes daily totals of each rank position.
- NEW Rank Score (aka Rank %). A near-term weighted scoring sytem to express the combined strength of all 3 momentum ranks. The daily change in score is also provided.
- Charts:
- View price charts with Bollinger Bands® or Moving Averages.
- Chart drawing order is now saved. Click and drag to sort and the site will automatically save the order.
- Group and sector charts' parent industry line is now dashed.
- NEW chart for groups and sectors: Momentum Rank Score (see Group and Sector sections for description)
- Expandable group and sector table now includes weekly and yearly price gain/loss and Rank Score.
- NEW chart for stocks: Price Performance (compares stock's price action versus its group and sector)
- Expandable stock table added.
- Market section:
- High-Low Logic chart's range adjusted. Default high value is now set at 2.50 to show values of less than 1 to be insignificant.
- Clickable arrows to move chart data without mousing over chart.

- NEW Action section:
- NEW Quartile Movers, daily and historical list of groups moving up and down rank quartiles.
- NEW Momentum Movers, daily and historical list of groups making biggest jump in rank in various time periods.
- NEW PowerShifts and Pivots, daily and historical list of groups & sectors with PowerShift and Pivot signals.
- Market section:
- Updated TRIN chart now includes histogram of volume ratio, so absolute action can be compared with relative action.
- Updated High-Low and High-Low Logic calculation and charts (previous calculation considered the daily value of 0 new highs and 0 new lows as 0 --downside bias--, now value is 0.5)
- Group section: Color coded quartiles based on momentum rank (color of numbered box next to name).
- Charts section:
- Updated TRIN chart now includes histogram of volume ratio, so absolute action can be compared with relative action.
- Updated GEAR chart now includes actual performance of the group or sector vs S&P 500.
- Updated Momentum chart, uptrend/downtrend arrows are in their respective time frame colors.
- NEW History of rank quartile for all three time frames in colored bars above price.
- NEW Cumulative Advance/Decline chart with 20-day EMA.
- NEW Charts can be viewed in daily, weekly or monthly periods.
- NEW 13-week, 26-week, 52-week highs and lows signals on charts modified.
The new signals are:
13-week - * (green for high, red for low)
26-week - # (green for high, red for low)
52-week - $ (green for high, red for low)
All highs are noted above price bar and all lows are noted below price bar.
- NEW Signals box: The most recent new high/low and PowerShift/Pivot are listed.
- NEW Rank & Price Change box: The changes in rank and price from 1 week, 1 month, 3 months and 6 months ago are listed.
- Group and Sector History:
- Selected momentum is now emphasized with borders. Non-selected time frame are opaque.
- Fourth row added for historical price % change ranking to give more insight into momentum rank change and price change relationship.
5/6/09 5:00pm PT Group Power Major Update
- Momentum engine: The calculation for group and sector short-term, intermediate-term, and long-term momentum values was modified to improve upon on the previous ranking system and to create a better relationship amongst the three time frames. Past momentum values have been adjusted to the new calculation. The most noticeable result is a less exaggerated short-term momentum range, now bringing it more inline with the intermediate and long-term values in respect to its time horizon.
- Market section: Now includes dynamic market charts and data tables!
- Market charts and tables update with data to the corresponding date on the chart when moused over.
- New market time charts for: 10-day Open Arms Index, Hi-Lo Index and groups over moving average.
- Historical color chart of market condition (trends and overbought/oversold)
- Daily tracking of Arms Index was replaced with 10-open Advance/Decline ratio
- Sectors section: Table overhauled with new signals and data.
- Track daily changes in rank with the arrows indicating rank movement.
- Highlighted tables for quick detection of new highs/lows and trending momentum/psmf values.
- New table with sums of the day's highs/lows, advances/declines and up/down trends.
- Historical table to track rank and momentum movement over time.
- Groups section: The new groups table combines 5 sections from the previous Group Power (Action, Momentum, Hi/Lo, PSMF and Gear) into one!

- More signals on charts: Price chart includes flags for new highs and lows. Momentum and PSMF charts include flags for uptrends and downtrends
- Structure section: Structure tables now include sector and group momentum values and ranks. The EquityTrader potential and performance ratings lights were removed (they are still available at www.EquityTrader.com).
- Reports section: Reports modified with new flags for momentum and psmf trends and new highs and lows. The basic list of data for each group/sector is short-term, intermediate-term and long-term momentum values instead of short-term, short-term 5days ago, short-term 10days ago, short-term 20days ago.
- Screen section: Removed, screening can be done via group/sector tables.
- Download section: Removed, data download can be done via group/sector tables.
